Music Meets Science
Music is an exquisite content. Before being generated by AI, recorded, mastered, searched and retrieved, it was born in the mind of composers and is brought to audience by interpreters. In this event different musical spaces will be explored: from dynamic Folia of Vivaldi, Haendel’s Passacaglia, Schubert to contemporary composers throughout the world: Irish Garth Knox, Finnish Jarno Vanhanen (composed for ACM MM). The artists are internationally acclaimed French musicians of new generation: François Pineau-Benois, violin and Olivier Marin, viola. Music Meets Science is running with support of ACM SIGMM.

Samhain Festival
31st October is Halloween (called Samhain in the Irish Language). Halloween is based on the ancient Irish festival of Samhain, and it remains one of the most important celebrations in Ireland’s calendar. On Samhain night, the streets of Ireland come alive with costumed parades, glowing lanterns, and the warm light of bonfires. Visitors can enjoy spooky storytelling, traditional games, and music that fills the crisp autumn air. Halloween in Ireland offers a magical blend of ancient Celtic tradition and modern festivity. To get us into the spirit of Halloween, we will be providing (brave) delegates with various masks to wear in the final sessions of the conference. Delegates may also choose to wear a costume on the final conference day. We will have masks and a very limited number of costumes to pick up at the registration desk.
- When: 31st October (after lunch)
- Where: Dublin Royal Convention Centre
- Address: One Le Pole Square, Ship Street Great, Dublin, D08 E6PD
- Who can participate: Any delegate
- Capacity: Limited to 200 masks, first-come, first served.
Bookable Boardroom
We have set aside a boardroom in the main conference venue to support delegate meetings and discussions. This can be booked from the registration desk and it must be booked in advance. If you wish to book the boardroom, please ask at the conference registration desk.
